There’ve been plenty of times when I’ve gotten home and realized, too late, that I don’t have anything to watch. Sure, I could probably catch another episode of “Law and Order” on TV, but I would much rather be watching “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” or “The Wire.” But it’s so warm inside and so cold outside… I don’t want to go back out…
And now I don’t have to, and neither do you! Most likely, you’re within our delivery area:
I don’t think I’m going out on a limb here to say that Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark may be his best role ever, although RDJ’s last few roles have all been memorably amazing (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang especially, but also Scanner Darkly). He’s always been best at playing his sardonic self - and Tony Stark is definitely that. Hard drinking, womanizing, with a devil-may-care attitude, we love him in the beginning, and we love him when he sees the light and builds his iron suit and kicks some ass. And if you missed it in the theater, or you want to see it again, or you’re itching to see all that behind-the-scenes footage, or you want to see it in hi-def, we’ve now got a date for you. September 30th.
Oh, yeah, we’ve got some other dates, too:
The Visitor: 10/7 on DVD and Blu-ray
Kabluey: 9/16 on DVD
Grey’s Anatomy Season 4: 9/9 on DVD and Blu-ray
Ugly Betty Season 2: 9/9 on DVD
“Imagine someone pouring hot, melted Starburst candies into your corneas” says critic Alonso Duralde on MSNBC about the Wachowski brothers’ Speed Racer. Well, I guess there’s nothing more to say. Arrives on DVD and cornea-melting Blu-ray on September 16th.
Baby Mama, starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, hits DVD and Blu-ray September 9th. The Judd Apatow produced Forgetting Sarah Marshall comes out September 30th on DVD and Blu-ray.
